No Matter What You're Going Through. Just Know, You're A FIGHTER!
I was involved in a motor vehicle accident in 2010 where I suffered a spinal cord injury at a C5-6 level. Since then I've fought my through every battle you can think of. I started physical therapy with the expectation of just waking up one day and everything will be alright and back to normal. After the first year and not making any progress I knew I was in it for the long haul. Being able to only push myself 15ft at a time before my muscles would fatigue out, I thought I'd be power chair bound forever. One day my power chair broke down and I was stuck in one place and I told myself I wasn't going to rely on something else anymore. It wasn't overnight and I shed a lot of tears in the battle to build more independence but I pushed my first 5K marathon with Emotion wheels and I'm currently working on completing my first 5K without assistance! I may not be fast but I'll get it done under my own strength. Since I've started this Journey I've been able to drop jaws of Physical Therapists that gave me the tragic news in 2010.
My goal is to help you re-imagine your life. My individualized positivity approach will help you attain your goals.
Rock bottom is different for everyone. My Rock Bottom was losing my Independence! I'll Fight Everyday to get back as much as I can. Until then, I want to Thank every Helping Hand that is Lent!
